UPDATE - 11-13-08
Thank you for your continued interest in PhoenixEMR. The team is making good progress and we're working to make sure everything works well and is
fully secure and HIPAA compliant. We should have a release soon. In the meantime, we're posting new screenshots!
Hello!
Welcome to our project page for Project Phoenix!
Project Phoenix is an ambitious new project led by a small team and currently underway at OpenEMR HQ. We originally began building a Windows client for the popular OpenEMR
software project and then realized that what we were building could be something much bigger and more important. After many meetings, late night
discussions, and countless pots of coffee, we decided to create a dual project under the one name: one which would serve as the Windows Client for OpenEMR and one that would provide a whole
new standalone EMR system which we will call PhoenixEMR (which will probably be renamed to avoid confusion with the Windows Client).
This page was created to serve as a central repository for the project and all information, news, code, and screenshots, will be placed here as we
make them available. If you have any questions about Phoenix, please feel free to email the lead developer on the project Michael Henry
or call our offices at (918) 919.4624. If you are inquiring about pricing and availability, please call our office directly.
Also, just to clarify any confusion, we are not in any way abandoning the OpenEMR project. We believe that OpenEMR is one of the coolest, most
interesting, and most needed pieces of software within the medical field. Our goal is to create our own sandbox where we can try things that the
regular OpenEMR team might not be open to and to share ideas and code on the things they are. OpenEMR HQ will continue to focus on the sales,
development, support, and consulting, of OpenEMR. We aren't going anywhere and neither is OpenEMR. Project Phoenix is just another offering we'll
have to give our clients an alternative.
Sincerely,
The OpenEMR HQ Development Team
